It was great to see this collection peppered with a few more wearable pieces like the tie dye denim and buttoned blazers, and Im feeling a slight Christophe Decarnin for Balmain influence in this collection, and I certainly don’t hate it…

Floral, soft and girly this fall collection is so well restrained in a super sophisticated way, drawing on ideas of girly innocence and potentially musing from Alex Chung. I could very easily describe my best friend by these exact words and in fact I could especially see her in the ivory organza and blue floral print gown (towards the bottom) in which she would be impeccable x

Marc Jacobs knows how to put on a show and keep it interesting and this year he wanted to keep it at home. Vogue UK said it was a ‘Why go out when you can stay in’ kind of collection, with sensual references to a woman at home juxtaposing with her day attire, suits & coats etc. The runway setup as a hotel corridor with the models emerging from behind the closed doors made for the usual LV theatre and early centrury glamour which was finished off with some old fav strutters, in Maria Carla Boscono & Kate Moss. And also spot beautiful Jess Hart, 3rd from the bottom, looking the shizz…

Riccardo Tisci must have realised that his religious inspired shirts (much favoured by hip hoppers) rottweiler tees and shark head sweats, were all now pretty much sold out and his stores needed something else to put on the shelf to fill the gap, and voila, the new Givenchy print tee’s, sweaters and bags! Happy days! I absolutely love the bambi meets girl print, and I can already see it popping on streets of all corners of the globe. Throw in a few floral prints, a drop of tartan and some legit supermodels in Natalia Vodianova & Erin Wasson and Tisci has got himself an Autumn Winter Winner!
