There is an obvious dark, almost sick undertone to this collection, something almost reminiscent of the darkness that Lanvin can be sometimes known for. The shiny slippery plastic-y textures mixed back with luxurious furs and delicate intricate lace have created a unique juxtaposition of sheer creative experimentation, and somehow it all works. While it may not appear obviously beautiful in the same as say the most recent Burberry collection, it still exudes an elegance and softness just fitting for a girly girl, only this one is served with a decent side of toxicity.
