Give me gold and black any day. Throw in some white and Im sold. This Sass collection is super slick, clean and good enough to eat. The shapes are a nice move on from the last few collections, and seem immediately wearable. The signature S & B embellishment was ever present and at its best with chunky golden spots on knits and encrusted collars on everything from capes to mini dresses. The Art Deco influence works well to give a luxe & decadent feel to the LBD’s and full length gowns which are suddenly modernised by the shameless gold embroidery and fuchsia accents.
The 60’s-70’s inspired wallpaper print is a cool introduction to the collection and works perfectly against the gold, french navy and white casual pieces that are the brands bread and butter. Always a sucker for a cape, I cant breathe over the grey wool cape and am determined to embrace the white with floral pieces. The yellow/mustard/gold pants are a given and the ivory roll neck top is my must have.
While there are some familiar styles and prints from seasons past, the overall, more indulgent opulent while still minimalist feel, to this collection makes it instantly more accessible and timeless, which really, is the key to creating long lasting ready to wear pieces.
