The Muses of Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton

For his final campaign for luxury brand Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs enlisted  his hand picked bevy of beautiful muses from over the past 10 years. Making up the Steven Meisel shot campaign, is Catherine Deneuve, Edie Campbell, Gisele Bundchen, Sofia Coppola, Fan Bingbing and my personal fav, Caroline De Maigret. The beautiful portrait shots focus on the house’s Noe bag, which is sure to be an extremely highly sought after bag, as is anything from MJ’s last collection for LV…

  1. Oh glad you pointed this one out Dan – hadn’t read about it until now. Caroline de Maigret could make moccasins look cool couldn’t she?! oozes chic. You know though…. as much as I love the work MJ did while at LV (Spring 2013 was by far one of my favourite collections from that season), as far as campaigns goes this one leaves me a little cold. The past few years he’s worked hard to make LV relevant to a younger market with edgier campaigns (i.e. featuring Ruby Jean Wilson when she was virtually unknown, and similarly with Edie Campbell). I guess this is more about staying true to the legacy of the house. Gotta say though the images look very overproduced and the makeup is throwing me off somehow. Love your work as per usual! 🙂 Bree
