Peter Pilotto SS14

Peter Pilotto, alongside mary Katrantzou, is the king of modern print, spurring on hundreds of imitators the world across. Digi print is dead and gone, with the influence coming this time from an L.A based artist and sculptor. Colours were strikingly fresh, keeping in line with my theory that we are moving into a soft dreamy floaty summer colour palette. The overly accentuated shapes focused mainly on creating an hourglass silhouette in an exaggerated way. Skirts were big and structured, firmly dropping off the waist while still somehow presenting a sheepish and demure woman.
